I live with a bunch of boys...three, to be exact. Don't get me wrong, I love them all like crazy. My point is that I'm surrounded by frogs and snails and puppy dog tails, superheroes, various shades of blue, sporting equipment and anything else that makes their eyes light up with delight. Oh, and ESPN is playing on the television regularly. I'm not complaining, but as a general rule and matter of fact, the only thing feminine in my household is me. Our decor is contemporary, color schemes neutral, very little freu freu in the Gisler home.
Our guest room has long served as a storage area for all of my crafty project/sewing materials, which have been shoved away in drawers or closets for several years. During my time off, I started organizing this room, and what started as a cleaning project turned into much more. A single furniture addition was the catalyst for what would ultimately be a true girly girl's room. The furniture piece was the perfect place to house my scrapbooking materials, along with various other craft supplies. But why stop there? I was overtaken with creative energy, and in a few short days, what had been a generally plain room became what Nick has dubbed my "girl cave." We've all heard of man caves (Nick has his own building in the backyard), but a girl cave??? Excellent idea, as far as I'm concerned! Go Girls!
wow. Motivates me to turn my spare room into a girl cave. all my scrapbook stuff is packed up and pretty much unavailable. love you
