Jack and Woody

We had a great time at Disneyland with the Petersons. Jack got very excited when we saw Woody. These pictures are priceless!

Thanksgiving Parade

Jack's preschool had a little Thanksgiving parade, followed by a Thanksgiving feast for the kids. Each class made different hats/costumes. Jack's class were the pilgrims. Other classes were Indians and turkeys. Jack was very proud of his pilgrim hat, which he kept calling his turkey hat. We think he must have seen a picture of a turkey wearing a pilgrim hat, so it's kind of hard to argue with him...we even saw such a picture today on a flag as we drove to church. Anyway, the kids paraded around the yard, then through the church. After the parade, they headed into the auditorium where a "feast" was set up. The kids got to sample turkey, mashed potatoes, corn bread mini muffins, and apple sauce. Yum Yum!

Luke's 1 Year Pictures

Our little man did such a great job for his one year portraits! He's such a mellow little guy that he doesn't smile without some coaxing, but he really did great, and these pictures capture his personality and sweet little expressions.

Fun around the house

Here are some random shots from around the house...some cute moments we were able to capture on camera!
Well, that's one way to use the exersaucer! Luke has found a new "hiding" place!
Jack...in the box

Luke practicing walking with Grandma!

Having fun on the sidewalk

Not sure about this grass...

What a big boy!

Luke crawled into the kitchen and grabbed a dish towel out of a drawer. He then crawled out and put it on his head and started crawling around. Then he'd pull it off his head and crack up. Silly boy!

Walking with Daddy...getting stronger!

It looks like a toy box threw up in our living room, but Luke was so cute walking with Daddy.

Happy 1st Birthday, Luke!

Where did the last year go? It seems like everything is flying by so much faster with our second little guy...maybe that's because of how busy we are now, or maybe it's because we're not as overwhelmed with each new phase as we were with Jack. Either way, I can't believe our baby is one already. We had a little party for Luke, and Jack invited a few friends to play with. The kids wore their Halloween costumes (nice second use!!), which yielded a strange grouping of characters (of course, we had Superheroes...Superman, Batman, Spiderman, but also a pirate, Scooby Doo, and Sgt. Pepper!) Earlier in the day, Jack helped me make Luke's smasher cake. He helped me pick out the cake at the grocery store, and helped to put the sprinkles on!

Our backyard decked out for the party

Here's Luke's official cake!
Here are some of the boys having a little picnic.

As soon as the cake came out, the boys ran to the table.

Cake time for Luke...very tentative at first- check out that one little finger poking at the icing!

There we go!

Maybe a spoon will help...

Ahhh...animals!

Hurray!!! Nice job, Luke!

What's up with Batman and Superman? You're on the same team, guys! LOL

Luke was so excited to be able to play with the Batmobile since Jack wasn't in the room to take it away from him!

Zak was a big helper when it came time to open Luke's presents.

Luke's first Dr. Seuss book!

Gonna have to stand up for this gift- it's BIG!

Jack checking out the new loot.

WOW- cool stuff!
