First Haircut

We love Luke's "Flock of Seagulls" hair, but it really is time for a haircut. When we look back at pictures of Jack's mohawk we realize that we waited way to long to cut it and it ended up looking like a bad combover. So...we won't do the same thing to Luke. But before he had his haircut we had to take some pictures. There was no primping done- the pictures below are of Luke's natural hair. It defies gravity...
And now for the haircut...

Luke sat very still but was tired and ready for a nap.

Daddy helped keep Luke's head straight so that Auntie didn't take off an ear.

Ahhh...how handsome. And now it's time for a nap!

Me and Jack had haircuts too!

Update on the Gisler Boys

Here's a little update on Jack and Luke...

Jack has a new love of Disney's Cars movie. It's his "favorite" (although, everything seems to be his favorite lately) and he wants to watch the movie daily. He acts out the scenes with his toy cars (see picture below- he's acting out the scene where Mater and Lighting scare the cow tractors). He has realized that there is little he can't reach if he uses his stepstool, so he now carts it all around the house to turn on lights, see above counters, reach the sink, etc. If he's in a hurry, he doesn't bother with the stepstool since any old box will do.
Luke is enjoying his bouncy chair. He is very amused by the kissing fish and starfish. He has pretty good head control, so Nick put him into the Bumbo. Truthfully, Luke is more ready for this than I am. He's growing up so fast!!! At his 2 month exam he weighed in at 11 pounds, 11 oz. and 23 inches. He's in the 50th percentile for both height and weight. This is new territory for us, since Jack is in the 5th percentile for height and has never been on the charts for weight! Luke seems so big to us, but he's actually just a normal sized baby. He's flying through clothes sizes (some of his 0-3 month clothes are already too small) and diaper sizes (already in size 2!). Jack was in his clothes for so much longer and was in size 1 diapers for quite a few months. He's rolling from side to side, but not all the way over. He's also laughing in his sleep, which is so cute. I wonder what he's dreaming about!!

Party Fun

We were invited to Andrew Cunningham's 4th birthday party at My Gym, which is very similar to Gymboree, so of course, Jack had a blast.

Here's Jack, Zak and Andrew running on the parachute.

Here's the birthday boy, Andrew.

You would have thought it was HIS party- Jack remained in the center of the circle for the fun and games.

Luke gave Adam a BIG smile :)

Two Months Old Already???!!!

Time is flying by! I can't believe Luke is already 2 months old. He is such a good baby- very mellow and happy as long as he's getting enough food, sleep and attention :) He doesn't smile much yet, but is always looking around, and seems amused by what he sees. He still sleeps a lot, but is having more awake time during the day. He does good with his tummy time and can hold his head up for a few seconds! I know I'm biased, but he is getting cuter and cuter. His hair has a lot of red (takes after Mommy and Grandpa Hood) and his eyes still look blue. Not sure on his weight now- we have a doctor's appointment next week, so I'll post all of his stats then.

Snow Day

After Christmas we headed to Modesto to visit family. Papa and Grammie had the family over to visit with us, which was so nice!

We took the boys to the snow for the first time. Jack had a blast tobogganing with Nick and Charlie.

Jack made great snow angels!

All bundled up.

Luke hung out with Nana and stayed nice and warm.

Merry Christmas

Happy Holidays! We were blessed to have a lot of family come to visit this year (all of the Grandparents!), and we had a great Christmas. Jack got a "dinosaur house" from Papa and Grammie, and he LOVES it.

Here are the boys with Grandma and Grandpa Stow. The day after Christmas we went to Disneyland with Grandpa and Nana, Tiffany and Will, Josh and Leah. Of course, Jack had a great time.

Even Luke enjoyed his first trip to Disneyland, although he slept most of the day. It was REALLY cold, so that was a good thing.
